Session 3 of this four-part series is “Financial Essentials, Part 2: Building on the Foundation for Growth.”
This session focuses on strengthening financial oversight as producer co-ops grow in complexity, funding, and staffing. Participants will be introduced to critical topics including reading financial statements, managing grants and fiscal agent relationships, navigating employee versus contractor rules, and implementing sound documentation and insurance practices. The session will offer practical guidance and next steps to help boards and leaders make informed decisions and manage risk.

Cooperative Development Services (CDS) is offering this free virtual training series on topics highly relevant to early stage producer co-ops and led by experienced professionals with deep cooperative experience. Co-ops are encouraged to send multiple participants.
