Volunteers may attend the conference for $30 per day ($55 for both days), a substantial discount. In return, you must be willing to work approximately 4 hours each day you want to attend.

Apply by December 27, 2022. We will make notifications by December 29. We usually have more applicants than we can accommodate.

Please check all of your interests. We cannot guarantee them, but will try to accommodate your preferences.

 
To/from airport. Must have reliable car. Preference given to speaker transport volunteers.
Set-up & take down laptops and projectors. Starts about 7 a.m. On-call to help speakers troubleshoot A/V during sessions.
Hand out conference mugs; give directions; deliver handouts to session rooms; etc.
Begin and end session on time, introduce speaker(s), count attendees, etc.
Direct attendees to rooms, assist breakout session hosts.
Collect and count meal tickets, crowd control, etc.
Tweet or post updates about the conference.
Take photos at sessions and events.
Approximately 2-3:30 p.m.

Fond du Lac College Events - Gichi Manidoo Giizis Pow Wow 2023
Details:

The Thirteen Moons Fond du Lac Tribal College Extension Program is proud to host the 2023 Gichi Manidoo Giizis Traditional Pow Wow on January 13th and 14th, 2023 at the Black Bear Casino and Hotel-Otter Creek Event Center.

This pow wow celebrates taking care of the land and community.

The mission of the 2023 Gichi Manidoo Giizis Traditional Pow Wow is to bring together community members and federal, tribal, and state organizations to learn from one another about how we take care of the land and community. Representatives from organizations will be available to answer questions and provide information on sustainable agriculture, natural resources programs for land owners, and education and career opportunities through college and university programs. In addition, those representatives will learn from community member’s the traditions of the Anishinaabe culture, language and best practices of taking care of the land and community

Sustainable Farming Association Conference
Details:

This is the Sustainable Farming Association's flagship event for farmer-to-farmer education and networking. Session topics are centered on boosting both farm sustainability and profitability. Tickets typically sell out, with more than 300 farmers, agriculture professionals, aspiring growers, homesteaders, and local foods supporters in attendance.
