Margaret Wiatrowski speaks at the breakout session: Hemp Now and on the Horizon

The Central Plains Dairy Expo is a gathering of dairy farmers and industry to promote new ideas through educational breakouts and a tradeshow.

The Food Protection and Defense Institute, the Minnesota Food Safety and Defense Task Force, and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture are hosting a 2-day Food Defense Intentional Adulteration Training on May 1 and 2, 2019 (from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days) in Minneapolis, MN.

The training is designed to assist food industry professionals as they create and improve tailored food defense plans, work to achieve regulatory compliance with the FSMA Intentional Adulteration rule, and protect their products and brand reputation.

This training will introduce participants to methods to prepare a food defense plan, conduct vulnerability assessments, and identify and implement mitigation strategies.

Training topics include:

• FSMA Intentional Adulteration Rule
• Food Defense Plans
• Food Defense Preparedness Program
