Please join the Minnesota Farmers Union and Minnesota Department of Agriculture from noon - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, for a free webinar to learn about the Electric Farm Equipment Grant, a new program to help farmers purchase electric agricultural equipment. The program provides funding to reduce fossil fuel emissions and improve air quality through the adoption of electric equipment.
During the webinar, attendees will receive an overview of the funding opportunity, including eligible equipment, application requirements, and the grant process. A speaker from the West Central Research and Outreach Center will discuss current electric farm equipment technologies and key considerations for farmers exploring electrification. The webinar will also feature a farmer who will share firsthand experiences using electric equipment and practical insights from their operation.
The webinar is free and open to all. Applications for the Electric Farm Equipment Grant are due August 11. To learn more about the program and application process, visit the Electric Farm Equipment Grant webpage.
