Find help from a Farm Advocate

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is gathering ideas as the agency considers the state’s next biennial budget. Farmers, businesses, and others impacted by food and agriculture systems are all invited to share policy, funding, and program suggestions.

Minnesota agriculture was celebrated this week at Farmfest as Meg Moynihan, a senior advisor with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), was named the 2026 Farmfest Woman Farmer of the Year and farm families from all 87 counties were recognized for their contributions to agriculture.

Minnesotans are invited to celebrate the bounty of the harvest season during National Farmers Market Week Aug. 2-8.
