"Local Leadership: Global Impact" is the theme of this year's conference, which focuses on developing and uplifting women in agriculture and giving them tools to deal with an ever-changing industry. Participants will advance and improve their skills through an engaging day of learning and networking as we celebrate the International Year of the Woman Farmer.
A highlight of the conference is the recognition of the 2026 Outstanding Agriculture Mentors. This award is in its 24th year and recognizes people who have been positive mentors and role models for people in agriculture, especially women. Nominations for this award are open until March 15.
The United Nations declared 2026 the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF 2026). The Year will spotlight the essential roles women play across agrifood systems, from production to trade, while often going unrecognized. Women farmers are central to food security, nutrition and economic resilience. IYWF 2026 will raise awareness and promote actions to close the gender gaps and improve women’s livelihoods worldwide.
