Composting Animal Mortalities

Composting is approved in Minnesota as a method for disposal of poultry, sheep, goat, and swine carcasses.  Composting of cattle and other large animals requires inspection and approval from an agent of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.  See the Minnesota Board of Animal Health or Composting Animal Mortalities for basic information on composting how-to techniques advice.
