Blackberries are one of the easiest to grow and most widely adapted fruits. Native species and commercial plantings extend from Florida to the Pacific Northwest. However, cultivars differ as to winter cold requirements and susceptibility to diseases. Therefore, proper cultivar selection is important for successful production.
