Bad Plants

Bad plants, also known as weeds or invasive plants, cause harm by competing with crop plants and native plants. MDA programs focus on early detection of new terrestrial weeds before they become established, because this is when eradication or containment efforts are most likely to succeed. In addition, MDA uses an integrated approach to manage established weeds. These efforts will help to limit the negative impacts of invasive weeds on our natural environment.
