Fairgoers can register to win free groceries for a year
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Visitors to the 2010 Minnesota State Fair can register to win free groceries for a year at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) booth. The prize is part of the Minnesota Farmers Feed US campaign, a national consumer education campaign featuring farmers who show how they produce safe, nutritious and affordable food. The campaign is sponsored by MDA and several Minnesota agriculture organizations.
Minnesota residents can register at the MDA booth in the Agriculture/Horticulture building or online at the Minnesota Farmers Feed US website (www.farmersfeedus.org). At the website, consumers are introduced to nine featured farmers and their families. Online registrations will be accepted through November 6. Two lucky winners will each receive $5,000 worth of groceries.
In addition to MDA, other participating agriculture groups include the Minnesota Pork Board, Midwest Dairy Association, Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Farm Bureau, Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council, Broiler and Egg Association of Minnesota, Minnesota Beef Council, and Gold n’ Plump.
