A food broker is a person who buys and sells food but who never takes physical possession of the food being bought or sold.
An example of a food broker is someone who buys a specialty beverage from one company, has it stored in another company's warehouse, and then sells it to customers and has it shipped directly from the warehouse.
Food brokers are inspected by the Manufactured Food Program within the Food and Feed Safety Division.
