Minnesota Ag Literacy Grant Program Application

Ag Literacy Grant Program Information

Important Grant Judging Criteria

We’ve tried to provide a rather short and simple application form to encourage more applications. We realize you are busy and don’t have much time to apply for grants. However, it is important that you complete the application with sufficient detail. Five minute, one paragraph applications will be denied! Please state project objectives/goals clearly, and indicate how the grant will help you achieve them. We encourage reference to one or more of the Minnesota Academic Standards where appropriate. And you must provide a detailed budget. Field trip applications must be linked to broader classroom learning objectives.

It is important for you to know that we do not fund entry or program fees to specific sites and we cannot fund requests to purchase our own Children’s Literature Book Bundle. Specifically, we encourage you to pursue matching dollars for field trip costs and consider some sort of local dollar match or in-kind support to strengthen your application.

Please feel free to contact Al Withers, MAITC Program Director at 651-201-6688 or alan.withers@state.mn.us with questions or for clarification.
