Promoting pesticide BMPsThe Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) – together with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, University of Minnesota Extension, soil and water conservation districts, and the Minnesota Board of Water & Soil Resources – is responsible for promoting Best Management Practices (BMPs) to protect water resources from the potential impacts of pesticide use. Specific promotion activities are carried out by the MDA and are coordinated through the MDA’s BMP Education and Promotion Team.
