Agriculture Commissioner visiting Minnesota’s biofuel producing communities

Supporting biofuel production and opposing EPA volume reductions

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is touring the state to support the ethanol industry and ask the EPA to reconsider its stance on the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). The EPA’s proposed 2014 reduction in RFS required volumes would result in an estimated $610 million dollars in losses and more than 1,500 jobs cut from the Minnesota economy and its workforce.* Join the commissioner, ethanol plant employees and local community leaders showing support for biofuels and rural economic vitality. Listed below are the first stops of the tour; more dates will be released in the coming weeks.
